In the year 2021, the Voices in Harmony Peace Choir embarked on a captivating journey that transported us back in time to the enchanting landscapes of Greece! The romantic and ageless settings we encountered were beyond description. The tour's highlights included exploring the iconic Acropolis, navigating the ancient ruins within the city, and embarking on a scenic island tour amidst the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
As we sailed through this remarkable experience, we encountered fellow travelers hailing from Russia, China, and Germany, forming instant connections as we danced and sang together. The local cuisine proved to be a culinary delight, with mouth-watering treats such as local feta, fresh fruits, pastries, and traditional meals crafted by locals using their exquisite olive oil.
Remarkably, we were the inaugural tour group to venture forth post-pandemic, and our arrival was met with joy by numerous vendors. Amidst this backdrop, we participated in two Friendship Concerts, one in Athens and another in Crete. Following each concert, we engaged in delightful dinner socials, where laughter echoed, stories were shared, and we reveled in the opportunity to learn more about one another. The tour was not just a musical odyssey, but a cultural exchange that left indelible memories of camaraderie and shared experiences in the heart of ancient Greece.
